Liturgical Ministries

Mission

We believe that the Celebration of the Holy Eucharist is the source and summit of our Faith. The Liturgical Ministers exercise a genuine liturgical function toward this end and are an integral part of our Parish Life. These ministries include Greeters, Ushers, Lectors, Altar Servers, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy CommunionEucharistic Ministers and the members of the Music Ministry. We seek those that wish to become more active in our Parish Community.
 

Altar Servers

Altar Servers assist the Priest in the Liturgy and Mass. If you are in 4th to 12th grade and have made First Communion, contact Fr. Jeremy.

Choir - Music Ministry

Mission: “God, the giver of song, is present whenever his people sing his praises.”

With this saying in mind, our aim is to help lead the congregation in prayerful song. Our choirs nurture a spirit of prayer, joy and friendship as we sing together in rehearsals and at Mass.

Our choir sing at Sunday’s 11:30 AM Mass. We sing more classic Catholic music from the hymnals along with our four-part choral singing.

Our choir participate in the various Masses for Christmas, Holy Week and Easter.

Instrumentalists:  Do you play a musical instrument?
We'd love to see how you might fit into our Music Ministry.

Lectors

are called to proclaim the Word of God at Mass, requiring, above all, a strong belief in and devotion to the truth proclaimed in the Scripture. Lectors need a loud, clear voice and should be comfortable speaking to large groups.
 

Ushers

are first and foremost ministers of hospitality. We greet and seat parishioners as they arrive, take up the collection, direct the congregation at communion time, and greet people as they leave the church.
 

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHCs)

are called to serve the very life of the Church by bringing the true presence of the Body and Blood of our Lord to fellow parishioners confined at home due to age or illness.  EMHC also assist at Mass when needed. Call Rectory for an Minister to visit you.
